i know i obviously wont look like them , but there so skinny but they look healthy and are super toned, how can i work out but still still look slender.. is there a way to not build up so much muscle? what sort of rutine would help me out?

Why does it take long to become big as a bodybuilder?

I asked my training mentor if I can enter a bodybuilding contest after when I loose all the body fat and get ripped but my training mentor who is also a bodybuilder explained to me that I cant enter a contest straight away after losing the body fat and getting ripped you will need to have a lot of muscle mass to compete in a contest and he told me to stick to my diet, training and routine then compete 5 years time. But the thing is what I dont understand is if I am eating 300g of protein a day and I lift weights for times a week in the gym so why does it takes a long time to big as a bodybuilder?

the body will only increase muscle mass by so much in a given amount of time regardless of the diet or training program. the human body is funny like that. you can put on muscle for 6 months straight, then bam! no muscle gain for 4 months even with the right diet and training program. there are no guarantees when it comes to building muscles. the greatest gains are made in the first 2 years of training as the body is in it’s highest most untrained state. the longer the time in training the slower gains come as the body nears the natural genetic potential.

personally it took me over 10 years to put on over 100 lbs of muscle while staying in single digit body fat. I started training at 13-14 years and went from 5′8 and 140 lbs to 6′0 and 240 lbs at 9% body fat at 24
