A question about working out and bodybuilding..?
How do you know if your body is in correct proportion? In particular upper body.
For example if your chest size is say 40 inches, How big should your arms be so that it looks normal? Is there a chart that I can look at?
if you have good definition, no fat showing, and the left and right side matches you are probably OK. Compare how you look with other boys your own age and see how your definition looks compared to theirs. If you like what you see in you, good; if not you have some new goals.
Measure your various body parts (neck, chest, arms, waist, hip, thighs, calf’s) , take some pics, and record how much weight you are liting with reps/sets. Body fat percentages are also good to record and keep track of. Keep track of all that over a period of time and look for changes over time. This will show you your improvement which is more important than you compared to everyone else.
There is no real “one standard” fits all. Overall appearance and how you feel about it is better than trying to be like everyone else.
