I would like to start bodybuilding but not sure how to go about it. i am 23 and not really to sure about it.?

i waight about 10stone and can not put weight on as got fast matabilism. i would like to put weight on and lots of muscle. i would like some help with dietary ie what to eat , when to eat. i have been recommended to taking pro mass to put weight on but dont know how to put it into a dietary of protain and carbs. if some one could please help me with it i would be very greatfull. is their any supplements that you would recommend as well, or good internet site that will help me.

Should I have post-workout muscle soreness after every single bodybuilding workout?

When it’s been a few months or more since the last time I lifted weights, after the first time I do it again my muscles get really sore. I’m told this is normal and it means that the muscle fibers have been torn and my body is growing new muscle. However, I wait a week as I’m supposed to do and lift weights again but this time I don’t get sore. I never get sore again until I lapse into laziness and don’t lift weights again for several months.

Should I be getting muscle soreness after every workout? And, if so, does it mean that I’m not growing any new muscle? Should I wait LONGER than a week to work out again?

By the way, I’m talking about building fast twitch muscles. Lifting heavy weights with lower reps. I’m a skinny guy who would like to pack on some muscle mass, but I always get discouraged after a couple of months because I’m not gaining much or anything. I can’t eat enough calories, or I’m not working out right, or whatever. I want to do it right this time.

It’s all normal mate, soreness are strongest after first workout and then it subsides…

You are not gaining anything because you are not eating enough. Workouts aren’t enough.. you need to get more calories per day then your BMR is. BMR is your bodyweight in pounds multiplied by 18. Then add 500 calories to be able to gain. And get this amount of cals CONSTANTLY! 5000 cals one day and 1800 cals other day is not good, on one day overeat and on other you under eat and loose weight. More nutrition advice here:
